Use default template for redirects

Should make the social icons available on redirect page as well (the
only place where I care about it existing is '/', so that we can get
link verification without having to hardcode to '/en' or '/cn' for
fediverse verification). Not sure if this will have any affect on SEO

Don't mess with such stuff without asking or testing. You have also broken the site now. The master branch is not a testing ground. You are also not following conventional commit format. The redirect layout file is provided by gem.
