A simple Ember Data Transform to alow easier manipulations of filesize. Simply have the backend send a value in bytes and the transform will create an easy to use object.
ember install ember-cli-filesize-transform
In model:
// app/model/my-model.js
import DS from 'ember-data'
export default DS.Model.extend({
storage: DS.attr('filesize')
});
Then within templates
bytes
kb
mb
gb
tb
pb
All above methods can have withUnits
attached (i.e., mbWithUnits
) which will output 10 MB
.
- [NEW] - The method
humanReadable
is now available which will attempt to work out which unit to use based on the number of bytes.
