pRF_stimuli
Running the pRF stimulation methods requires vistasoft, vistadisp, and Psychtoolbox
Code for displaying the retinotopy stimuli (and setting the parameters) with moving bars and checkerboards is in the vistadisp repository. The main function is
ret
which is stored in Applications2/Retinotopy/standard.
A GUI will appear that allows you to set various parameters. Picture of the GUI to go here. That annoying warning screen comes up. The welcome to the Psychtoolbox appears To start you will be asked to press the '5' key. The checkerboard stimulus in the bars will get started. Here is what they look like.
There is an object_retinotopy directory in vistadisp. It was written some time ago by RAS, and we aren't sure about its current status.
Rosemary used the code from Kendrick Kay, which can be downloaded from this site
There are detailed instructions on how to download and set that up on Kendrick's page. The page includes a fair amount of documentation and also relatively large stimulus files that you can use for the targets behind the moving bars.
The stimulus files that Rosemary used are on Brian's google drive inside of Data/prfstimuli
