07 Assembly

Mount the spools directly onto the steppers. Some parts may come out a little tight from your printer but they should be able to press onto the shaft.

The big spool is held in place by the hot end. The hot end in turn is locked into position by the extruder console. Do not forget a little bit of teflon tube in the hot end before assembly. These are normally supplied separately.

The two parts of the extruder console are connected by a long M4 bolt with nut. Mount the extruder wheel onto the stepper shaft and then mount the stepper onto each part of the console.

Use a strong rubber band or several small bands to create the clamping force for the extruder. You should not be able to pull out the filament with normal force. Be careful here because too much force may damage the stepper shaft.

Cut up approx 1m of wire for the A,B and C spools. Attach to the spool through the little hole. Next thread through the hole in the base out to the closest end.

For the vertical spool D, you should cut up and attach three wires. The length of these is determined by the height of your installation. I have approx 1.4m when installed under a "standing table". Next, thread though the holes and out to the middle hole at the end tip. Finally, connect them to the "crown" which will be attached to the table underside.
