  • Usage: Export metadata and DIPs

User can initiate/plan export either from the Search queries or from his Pile accessible at AIP Search.

Export can bee of three types:

  • Download - immediate metadata download to client
  • Immediate export to workspace - starts an immediate export to a workspace folder mounted to a ARCLib server. User must have assigned at least one export location by the Administrator.
  • Planned export to workspace - export routine - user plans export to workspace in a future. This option is not available when accessing export from the Pile.

There are five export scopes:

  • List of identifiers - CSV with list of ARCLib identifiers
  • Metadata - CSV with metadata of the packages. User can reduce the set of exported metadata in export configuration.
  • AIP XML - AIP XMLs of the records
  • Data and latest AIP XML - DIP containing AIP data and latest AIP XML. This option is not allowed for Download export type. Set of AIP data can be reduced by regular expressions in export configuration.
  • Data and all AIP XMLs - same as the previous one but all AIP XMLs are exported

Export templates

  • User can use Export template agenda (main menu) to create predefined export configuration which can be loaded in export form to speed up export configuration, mainly the reduction of exported data and metadata.

Generating info file:

  • When exporting data user can opt in to generate an ARCLib_export_info.csv for every exported DIP. The file currently contains only UUID of the related Authorial package which may be used for Explicit linkage during ingest.

Note that AIP XML and data of ingests ingested in debug mode are not exported.
