How_to_start_a_court

Decide which topic your court judges. It may be rewarding open-source software, rewarding inventions, compensating indigenous victims of discrimination, rewarding actions against climate change such as planting trees, etc.

Decide the laws you follow: Will rich victims be compensated more than poor ones? You reward the head of a project or an organization he leads? You pay once or monthly? You value more an idea or its implementation? Etc.

Ensure that all the judges have MetaMask browser extension installed. To pay for voting put some (small amounts of) Ether on their accounts.

Then create an organization on Aragon. Probably the most suitable kind of organization for a court is Membership, but you could also consider Reputation.

After this install in the organization the Reward app (one used to vote for court decisions) as described in this file.

Configure contracts in the Manage section of the app. (TODO)

Create a new intercourt token for your organization or use an intercourt token from any other court.

After this, you are ready to vote. Just fill the form of minting money and press Mint! button to mint your token to anyone of your choice. After you press this button, a new voted for issue appears. It remains to vote.

You can also hold other tokens or ETH in the Vault app. You can use it to pay for something or to somebody in addition to minting your own money.

Note that the free tokens you send to a rewardee are in the new ERC-1155 format. Electronic wallets do not yet support this format, but it is going to change after a few months. Don't forget to tell the reardee what he was rewarded for, that the wallets don't yet support displaying/sending tokens in this format. (The token is on the rewardee Ethereum account after you send it, but it is hard to withdraw the token until new versions of Ethereum wallet will appear.) Also, advise the rewardee not to spend his tokens immediately, because their price may grow very much during time. You could advise the rewardee first try to spend just 1/1000 of the tokens he received, not to sell it too cheaply.
