Functional hitch in any vehicle

How it works?

Before proceeding, be sure to read the Introduction.

It's the exact same original game system, but now available for any car, and even bikes, boats etc.
Just have a node named f_hitch which indicates the position of coupling.
Can be a dummy or a part with model, doesn't matter, the only things that matter are the node name and pivot position.

Why use VehFuncs?

There are several other mods that also bring this functionality, however, VehFuncs brings the following benefits:

  • No external configuration required. Just a node inside .dff.
  • It's possible to add hitch even to vehicles that already have original game functions, such as the ZR-350 headlights and Bandito suspensions.
  • Adapted for Tuning Mod: You can also add hitch in any vehicle inside the game using Tuning Mod, just install some part (tip: this hitch) and rename to f_hitch (f hitch) at "Manage" interface.
  • Compatible with other mods that also adds hitch.

Tips:

  • You can add new trucks, tractors etc using this so they will be functional.
  • Operation of this hitch is fixed, as Utility, trucks etc, unlike the tractor that originally had a arm. So, if you add this hitch to a tractor, the hitch system will be replaced (however, you need to down the arm to hitch, just as it originally works).

Problems:

Tuning Mod: Reloading a saved vehicle with a hitch you need to go back to the "Manage" interface from TM and reapply some part name to work. This will be fixed from Tuning Mod v2.2.
